February 15th, 2008  Five favorite things for Friday

It’s almost the weekend, and I can hear my three portrait sessions calling now… Jamie and I are set up to do a whole bunch of headshots/model portraits on Saturday and I’m totally stoked. So I thought I’d have a little fun today and list five favorite (random) things that others might get a kick out of as well:

  1. ColourLovers. It’s a site that lets you play with colors and mix and match them, save swatches, see others’ favorite combinations, and get inspiration. It’s absolutely a ton of fun, and can come in handy when coordinating anything from room decor to invitation inks! Plus, now you can create patterns too.
  2. My Shootsac. I just bought a new cover because they’re having an enormous sale (half off!). It’s a bag to hold your camera lenses and whatever else - the material is durable and water resistant, and very flexible. It’s comfortable and looks good.
  3. Scrabulous on Facebook. I’m, in a word, addicted. It’s the only reason I really visit Facebook. I’m glad it’s stuck around, even amidst the copyright infringement issues. Please feel free to start a game with me.
  4. Feedburner. It’s made it a lot easier to tell how many people have subscribed to this blog, and also what things people are clicking on and reading most often. Very insightful. That, along with Google Analytics, has a big part in what shapes the content of this blog.
  5. This video of high school students performing an OK GO video in a talent show. The awkwardness of the guys, the young girls’ squeals, and the fact that they NAIL IT made me bookmark it a few months ago. I’ve watched it repeatedly since.
