January 29th, 2008 Moses and fudge
I’ve decided that this year we’re going to include more personal content on this blog than last year - while I’ve gotten a good response to the tips and articles we write, and of course the photos of weddings and portraits we post, what readers have commented on most are the more personal/meaningful entries that open a window into who we are and not just what photos we take at A Softer Image.
To start with, this month’s newsletter will include photos that our photogs have taken outside of ASI. We love doing this as a business, but we also love it as a part of our personal lives as well. I’ll be posting much more non-client content so you can see the other things that shape who we are as photographers and as people.
To start off with, let me introduce to you Moses. Mo came into our lives partway through last year and, as a person who had only lived with cats before, I can say that he’s completely changed who I am as a pet person. Much of Brad’s and my at-home life revolves around this awesome not-so-little being. Few things are greater than coming home after a ten-hour wedding and being greeted with this:

After our last wedding of 2007, on December 30th, Brad and I got home late and were greeted with two of our favorite things: Moses, and our first-ever batch of fudge fully chilled in the fridge. Here are some photos of us in our post-wedding exhaustion/imminent-fudge excitement (we didn’t even take time to change before diving into the fudge!). As you can see, Mo was excited as well :)

Okay, I need to leave you with one more of Mo:

Adorable.
