October 1st, 2007  CD Packaging - Randi & Brandon

We returned late last night from a wedding in Vermont - it was absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to post the pictures. In the meantime, here are some photos of the CD packaging I did for Randi and Brandon, who you can also see at the top of the blog! Their wedding colors were navy blue and light blue, so I couldn’t resist this beautiful navy box from the Paper Source:

Check out that photo. It was the basis for the rest of the packaging! I created a handmade accordion album for them with some of their favorite images from the wedding. I used inkjet-printable book binding material to make the cover. I created the silhouette in Photoshop and played around with their wedding colors. Here you can see the sides of the albums:

Finally, I secured the album with a ribbon in their colors and used Zips to adhere it beautifully to the linen covers. Then everything was packaged in the box!

Although I didn’t take photos of it, I used a disk hub to adhere the CD to the inside of the box (the top flap, underneath the photo of the two of them) and tied the beautiful navy bow up and mailed it. I use an Epson RX580 to print the CDs so that all of my clients have custom-packaged products that they’ll treasure. The disk hubs are great because I can put their CD of images in anything - their album, a beautiful journal, or another beautiful box.
